The Lifestyle

The journey to everlasting begins with a single step

Partial Edge™

Partial Edge is a variation of the straight edge subculture which is “affiliated with the hardcore punk scene, followers of which abstain from alcohol, tobacco, recreational drugs, and “promiscuous” sex (https://www.britannica.com/topic/straight-edge)” and bent edge or curved edge, which “refers to a reactionary attitude that emerged within the DIY hardcore punk scene as a counter-movement to straight edge (https://diyconspiracy.net/terms/bent-edge/)” in response to the rigidness of that scene.

Hate Heart™ believes that life is short and meant to be lived and enjoyed. Partial Edge is an attempt to meet “straight edge” and “bent edge” halfway as the former, on paper, appears to be a safe and ideal way to live but impossible in practice with members notoriously elitist in attitude, while the latter is too unsafe, as it was created to be the opposite of straight edge in mockery.

The Requirements

To be a Hate Heart Ambassador X, you must be partial edge.

This means:
1. Action – a Hate Heart shall not be a hypocrite.
2. Balance – a Hate Heart shall be accountable for another Hate Heart.
3. Character – a Hate Heart shall not covet and will work hard for what they desire.
4. Consent – a Hate Heart shall not possess uncontrolled envy and lust.
5. Integrity – a Hate Heart shall not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.
6. Open Mindedness – a Hate Heart shall have a strong belief system, but not limited by their belief.
7. Respect – a Hate Heart shall always respect themselves and others.
8. Safety – a Hate Heart shall play safe, do no harm to oneself or another, and clean up after themselves.
9. Spirit – a Hate Heart shall not talk down on another Hate Heart.
10. Teamwork – a Hate Heart shall not act sacrosanct.

Lastly, but most importantly, a Hate Heart should have fun, trying their best to do things in moderation, and feel privileged to be a part of Hate Heart Nation X.

The Test

You will demonstrate your mental, physical, and spiritual adeptness or potential by submitting a cover letter and a resume/curriculum vitae (CV) to the king. In your cover letter, you will pick a cause from one of "Our Causes" and write about why you resonate with it and what you will do to advocate for it.

If "The Test" is satisfied, you will be allowed to draw the Hate Heart Nation X (shown above – an X with two circles) symbol on your hand – either hand will do, but it is expected to be worn on your dominant hand.

The X symbol is a badge of honor that must be maintained. If one or more of the “The Requirements” is broken, a circle will be removed. When there are no more circles, you will need to earn them back by completing “The Test” again and explaining why you broke one or more of the “The Requirements” and what your corrective action will be.

Severe cases will force “The King” to remove you entirely from Hate Heart Nation X with a potential ban on a case-by-case basis.
